Local Guide
Park City
Our townhome sits right at Canyons Village with ski-in access in winter (snow conditions permitting) and trailhead access in summer. Park City manages to feel like a small mountain town while delivering world-class skiing, dining, and year-round outdoor recreation.
Winter — Skiing & Snowboarding
- For experts — 9990 — Steep, challenging terrain accessed from the top of the 9990 lift at Canyons. Some of the best expert skiing in the entire Park City resort system.
- For intermediates — Dreamcatcher — Well-groomed blue runs with great views. Long, wide cruisers that make you feel like you’re flying.
- For families — Sunrise Gondola — The brand-new Sunrise Gondola (installed 2025) whisks you up from Canyons Village with panoramic views. Gentle terrain and ski school nearby make it ideal for beginners and kids.
- Deer Valley — 12 minutes away. Impeccable grooming, limited daily tickets, and exceptional on-mountain dining. Skiers only — no snowboards allowed.
- Alta — 45 minutes away in Little Cottonwood Canyon. Legendary powder, steep terrain, old-school mountain feel. Also skiers only — no snowboards.

Summer & Fall
- Mountain biking — Canyons and Park City Mountain open their trails in summer. World-class singletrack from intermediate flow trails to expert descents. Rent bikes at the base.
- Hiking — Bloods Lake, Willow Heights, and the Mid-Mountain Trail are all accessible from the area. Wildflower season (July–August) is spectacular.
- Fishing & boating — Jordanelle Reservoir (15 min) for lake fishing and boating. The Provo River (30 min) for fly fishing. Guide services available through Park City Fly Fishing.
- Golf — Canyons Golf Course is literally across the road. Park City Golf Club and Promontory are within 15 minutes.
Woodward Park City
A year-round action sports facility with something for everyone. Indoor skateparks, trampolines, foam pits, and a tubing hill in winter. Great for kids and adults on a rest day or when the weather turns.
Dining
- Kuchu Shabu — Japanese hot pot (shabu-shabu) right at Canyons Village. Choose your broth and proteins and cook at your table — a warming, social meal after a day on the mountain.
- Fletcher’s — American comfort food in a lively atmosphere on Main Street.
- Shabu Sushi — Excellent sushi in a more intimate setting on Main Street.
- Riverhorse on Main — Upscale American with live music. A 16-year recipient of the Forbes Travel Guide Four Star Award.
- Grappa — Rustic Italian at the top of Historic Main Street. Fireplace patio and scenic views.
Beyond the Slopes
- Utah Olympic Park — Bobsled rides, zip line, and the ski jumping venue from the 2002 Olympics. Great half-day activity.
- Deer Valley Concert Series — Summer outdoor concerts at Snow Park Lodge. Bring a blanket and a picnic.
- Park City Main Street — Galleries, shops, and restaurants in a historic mining-town setting. The Egyptian Theatre hosts indie film screenings year-round.
Getting Around
Ubers and Lyfts are plentiful in Park City — you really don’t need a car to get to most places. The free Canyons Village Connect shuttle runs door-to-door in ski season, and Main Street is a quick 12-minute ride away. The house garage fits two mid-size vehicles if you do drive.
